Contribute to Teaching Insights

We would love you to contribute a ‘Recipe for success’ to our next edition which will be on the topic of ‘Closing awarding gaps: celebrating success’.

Submissions are welcomed from students, alumni and those who teach in Higher Education. We welcome individual and joint authored submissions (student-staff collaborations are especially welcome).

Your contribution would be a 400-600 word ‘recipe for success’ which can also be thought of as a case study. This might describe an activity or wider approach that successfully removed barriers, increased inclusion, enhanced engagement and has contributed to your own achievement or the success of your students.

This form should be used to complete your submission. Please submit your completed version by 5 pm on Friday 11 November 2022.

Reviewing Process

Your contribution will be reviewed using the following criteria.

  • Clear focus directly relevant to the topic of publication
  • Clear structure
  • Accessible language for a non-specialist audience
  • Evidence of impact and how approaches could be applied elsewhere
  • References to relevant literature
  • Good key take-aways
  • Within word count

You will be notified by Monday 12 December 2022  whether your piece has been approved for publication or not (and why). Articles for publication may be subject to some copy editing. You will be sent a final version of your submission to approve prior to publication on 19 January 2023
