Reviewing process

Our approach is to accept all submissions that sufficiently cover the following criteria:

  • clear, accessible and accurate writing style
  • relevant to the topic (meaningful assessment)
  • includes practical application of ideas
  • outlines how practice may be transferable
  • discusses the influence/impact on students/the student experience/student outcomes

Normally, we do not return a submission to the authors to amend or edit. Therefore your submission may be rejected for publication if we do not think it is sufficiently clearly written such that it can be published ‘as is’ or with light copy-editing.

You will be notified by us whether your piece has been approved for publication or that we will not be publishing your work (and why). For those being taken forward to publication, you will be sent a final pre-publication of your submission to approve.
